Why EIOPA?

Competitive salary

The primary component of the pay is the basic monthly salary.

The basic salary is weighted by a correction coefficient to adjust it to the cost of living compared to Brussels.

Taxes on salaries, allowances and benefits are paid to the European Communities instead of the national tax authorities.

As each case is different, your final salary will be determined at recruitment based on your specific situation.

EIOPA’s conditions of employment of staff are based on the rules, principles and working conditions of the Staff Regulations and Conditions of Employments of Other Servants.

Allowances

Health and medical coverage

EIOPA’s staff is entitled to sickness and accident insurance, which offers reimbursement of medical costs worldwide.

The EU Joint Sickness and Insurance Scheme (JSIS) offers accident and occupational disease insurance coverage, not only for staff, but also for their family members. EIOPA staff also benefits from unemployment, invalidity allowance and travel insurance.

Staff has the possibility to do an annual medical check-up with an external medical provider.

It provides a European curriculum from nursery (4 years old) to the European Baccalaureate, as well as after-school activities and bus transfer organised by the parents’ association. The school offers five language sections (German, English, French, Italian and Spanish) and mother tongue tuition in all EU languages.

In addition, staff can also opt for the German school system, or for one of the many international schools based in Frankfurt:
