Question
In S.14.03 C0030 Product Identification the guidance says “One of the options in the following closed list shall be used: (1) First Party Loss (2) Third Party Loss (3) Costs and related services” But the guidance also says: “In principle, only one item can be chosen from the list to characterise the Product Identification; however, in exceptional cases and in case of reporting from Reinsurance undertakings, multiple selection is allowed.” Given this data point is a string can EIOPA please provide an example of how two items from the list should be reported. The same question also applies to how S.14.03 C0060 Description of Risk(s) included in the coverage should be reported. Again the guidance reads like a closed list but the data type is a string to allow more than one selection.
EIOPA answer
The description of how to report multiple-choice lists, along with an example, can be found in EIOPA XBRL Filling rules section 'V.5 Multi value elements reporting is applicable' (https://dev.eiopa.europa.eu/Taxonomy/Full/2.8.0/Common/EIOPA_XBRL_Filing_Rules_2.8.0.pdf#page=33)
The numbers refer to numbers of options presented in subdomain to which specific string metric refers to.
