Question
Regards the new S.14.02 QRT for 2.8 and the associated LOG guidance (in the draft business package supporting SII taxonomy 2.8.0). Would the following be an acceptable implementation for correct representation of LoB level information where products are also available. 1. For columns C0050 through C0110: sum(C0050) where c0010 = “11” and C0020 = “” should be >= sum(C0050) where c0010 = “11” and C0020 = “11.1” i.e. a reasonableness check that the total LoB level “# of contracts” is greater than the product code “11.1” level of “# of contracts”. This general concept would be repeated in two directions: a). For product codes 12.1 and 12.2 vs LoB 12 and product code 7.1 vs LoB 7 b) For columns C0060, C0070, C0080, C0090, C0100, C0110 2. There could be other specific analogous tests for C0030, C0040 and C0120: a) for C0030 if there is a product level record <> “” and <> 0 then the LoB level (For the parent LoB for the product) record should have C0030 <> “” and <> 0 b) for C0040 if there is a product level record = “Yes” then the LoB level (For the parent LoB for the product) record should have C0040 = “Yes” c) for C0120, every country mentioned in any product level record should be included in the LoB level (For the parent LoB for the product) C0120.
EIOPA answer
1. For product categories reported under C0020 a separate line should be reported, only if C0010 covers a greater number of products than those referred to be reported separately in line with C0020. In this case the total number of contracts under C0050 for such separate line(s) should refer only to those contracts relating to the product category being reported. If that is the case the number reported in the line covering all products falling under the line of business C0010 (including those reported separately under C0020) should always be greater. This also applies to columns C0060, C0070, C0080, C0090, C0100, C0110
2. a) Yes, it should be reported. Please note that, the value should be then provided for LOB level and should be the same only if it does not cover other products.
b)Yes, always
c) Yes, always
