Question

In regard to C0090 ("Sum Insured"), is this amount intended to be net or gross of the amount reported in C0100 ("Original deductible policyholder")?

Also in the case of policy excesses (as opposed to deductibles) are these also to be reported in C0100, or is that column strictly for deductibles only?

EIOPA answer

The "sum insured" (C0090) should be the sum insured on the policy and should not be reduced for any policyholder deductible or any policy excesses.

C0100 is strictly for deductibles and policy excesses should not be reported there. The "net retention of the insurer" (C0150) should be after deducting any policyholder deductibles and any policy excesses from the sum insured.
