Question

Can you please clarify the deadlines regarding the publication of the SFCR for undertakings that produce a single group SFCR. We are not sure whether the transitional relief that applies to publication timelines continues to apply to the single group SFCR for the financial year ending on 31 December 2019. The effect of the end of the transitional relief would mean that undertakings have 14 weeks to produce the 2019 SFCR, rather than 20 weeks.

Can you please confirm what should be the deadline for single group SFCR for the year to 31 December 2019 - 14 or 20 weeks.

EIOPA answer

According  to Article 368 of the Delegated Regulation 2015/35, the transitional period for publication finishes on 1 January 2020. This means that for the single SFCR of 2019 to be published in 2020, the 6 additional weeks will be still applicable and the deadline is 20 weeks.
