Question

In Validation rule BV991 the reference with S.01.02 (C0010, R0020) asks not to provide the same LEI for CIC ##8#.

In S.01.02 no criteria is reported to identify Mortgages and Loans comparable to CIC ##8#.

The question is how to ensure that in S.06.02 no LEI code is provided which will break the rule.

BV991: {S.06.02,c0210} <> {S.01.02, c0010,r0020}

In addition BV992 requests that the LEI code in S.06.02 is different to "identification code of the third country branch" in S.01.02 (C0010, R0050).

What is the criteria to ensure that in S.06.02 an Issuer Code is reported that breaks this rule?

BV992: {S.06.02,c0210} <> {S.01.02, c0010,r0050}

EIOPA answer

These validations ensure that the issuer of the mortgage or loan is not the same entity as the reporting entity. In other words, to ensure that the validation is met, if a mortgage or loan is reported in S.06.02, the issuer of the mortgage or loan should be different from the reporting entity.
