Question

S.29.04 C0020/R0040 shall correspond to the sum of cells C0010/R0060 to C0010/R0100 from template S.29.03 and C0020/R0060 to C0020/R0100 from template S.29.03. Is it by intention to not include R0010-R0040? Any reason for that?

EIOPA answer

You can find the answer in the paragraphs 1.52, 1.56 and 1.57 of the "EIOPA Explanatory notes on reporting templates Variation Analysis templates". In particular where it is said "The variation triggered for example by changes in perimeter or foreign exchange variation should not be reported in S.29.04.

This means that this cells do not reflect the total variation of the best estimate". Please also note: column S.29.04 C0020 refers to "risks accepted prior to period". In S.29.03, only rows R0060 to R0100 refer to "risks accepted prior to period"; rows R0010 to R0040 do not.
