Question

Question regarding Asset ID code in the log file for the template S.06.02.01
In general comments, it is indicated that for cash ,Transferable deposits (cash equivalents) and other deposits should be reported in one line per currency.

In case that they have several currencies, should we add the CAU/ as it is indicated in the log of C0050?

Or should we consider that the currency is part of the Id code, and even if they have several currencies, we consider that they are unique?
for example:
should we report this one: => we take into account that there are several currencies ( this is why we add the 'CAU/' )
CAU/CAU/Other deposits short term BPO+EUR
CAU/CAU/Other deposits short term BPO+USD

or this one: we suppose the currency is part of the id code, so it's unique:
CAU/Other deposits short term BPO+EUR
CAU/Other deposits short term BPO+USD

EIOPA answer

Taking into account that the positions referred in the question are usually already aggregates for number of similar instruments (i.e. one line for all deposits to cedants for each unique combination of items in columns (C0060, C0070, C0080, C0090) and that EIOPA does not require any particular code and it can be a Code Assigned by the Undertaking (CAU).

However, EIOPA requires that a code used to identify such position by the reporting entity is unique for the table and preferable stable in time, allowing to differentiate the separate lines requested by the ITS.

It should be also noted that in this particular case is the pattern 'CAU/{Code}' the implementation decision for the EIOPA XBRL taxonomy.
