Q&A

Question ID: 11

Regulation Reference: Guidelines on submission of information to NCAs (Preparatory phase)

Article: 35

Status: Final

Date of submission: 11 Dec 2013

Question

In the reduced version of the QRTs (applicable for interim reporting) contain two types of differences compared to the complete versions of the respective reports. (1) Certain fields are "hidden" and (2) others are marked as non-applicable, depicted with grey background. We do not fully understand why the grey cells appear on the reduced reports if they are not applicable, i.e. data fields assigned to those cells are not in the scope of interim submission.

EIOPA answer

In fact only a sub-set of the information applies to the preparatory phase. EIOPA opted for publishing only the applicable templates, however, the applicable templates show all the cells for implementation purposes. However, please consider the following clarifications:
- There is no "hidden" fields in the templates;
- Cells in grey are not applicable during the preparatory phase;
- These cells appear in the templates (Appendix I of the Final Report) and its description are part of Appendix II as well of the Final Report only, i.e. they are not an integral part of the Guidelines.
