EIOPA Sustainable Finance Conference 2026

EIOPA Sustainable Finance Conference 2026 will take place on 28 April 2026 in a virtual format.

Why attend?
Climate change and biodiversity loss are accelerating economic losses, testing resilience, and demanding urgent action. With Europe warming faster than any other continent, insurers and pension funds in the EU have an important role to play given their ability to:

  • manage risks for European citizens and their businesses,
  • enable adaptation and resilience solutions, and
  • support the transition through their investments.

Join us to discuss and find out more about what the sector and the supervisory community are doing to address sustainability challenges.

What’s on the agenda?

  • Climate resilience: Explore how the EU’s integrated framework for climate resilience and risk management can support resilience against natural catastrophes
  • Innovation and technology: Discover how technology can drive sustainability and provide transparency in insurance coverage for consumers
  • Solvency II and adaptation: Learn about EIOPA’s work on adaptation measures in the context of Solvency II
  • Consumer protection: Find out more about EIOPA’s efforts to promote greater transparency, fairness, and accessibility in insurance products

Who should join?
Consumer representatives, scientists, supervisors, regulators, industry leaders, and any other stakeholders committed to advancing sustainability, financial resilience, and consumer protection.

The conference will feature:
Keynote speeches and impulse talks, including from EIOPA Chair Petra Hielkema and European Commissioner for Climate, Net Zero and Clean Growth Wopke Hoekstra.

Panel discussions and presentations on:

  • The role of technology in a greener future
