Description

The ongoing policy and regulatory debates are increasingly focused on non-bank financial intermediaries, particularly on the insurance and pension sectors.
Many important questions in policy and research require both careful empirical analysis as well as appropriate theoretical foundations. In this respect, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) in collaboration with the Research Directorate of the European Central Bank (ECB), Motohiro Yogo (Princeton University), and Ralph Koijen (Chicago Booth) is launching a call for papers for a research workshop.
We welcome papers on topics related to insurance companies and pension funds.
The research workshop will be held on May 30, 2023, at EIOPA (Westhafen Tower, Westhafenpl. 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany).
The meeting will feature sessions with up to 5 papers with discussants and a panel discussion on “Risks and Financial Stability Topics”.
The workshop will be held in-person. Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and hotel. Please feel free to pass this call for papers on to colleagues who might be interested in submitting a paper. Papers to be considered for presentation can be emailed to research@eiopa.europa.eu
We look forward to receiving your submissions. The submission deadline is March 16, and authors will be informed by April 5.
