Biography
Juan Ramón Plá studied Agriculture in Madrid and obtained an MSc in Management from the London Business School. He has also concluded different courses specific to insurance intermediary practice and has been active in the insurance market as full-time practitioner since 1999.
He is Vice-Chair of Sabseg Group, a recently created firm, encompassing nine brokers in the Iberian market that provide service to consumers and SMEs in all lines of insurance products, as well as the Managing Partner of Corporación de Mediadores de Seguros, a privately owned insurance broker.
From an international institutional perspective, he has actively participated as a member of the European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries (BIPAR) since 2008, at present serving as Secretary General. Additionally, he is also honoured to serve as a member of EIOPA's IRSG since 2016.
