Biography
François-Louis Michaud has been the European Banking Authority’s Executive Director since September 2020.
Before, he held responsibilities in banking supervision as a Deputy Director general at the European Central Bank (2014-2020) and at the French Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (2009-2014).
From 2005 to 2009, he was a senior economist at the Bank for International Settlement in Basel and the Secretary to its Markets Committee.
He started his career at Banque de France and was seconded to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He graduated in Economics, Finance and Philosophy.
