Biography
Evija Dundure, PhD, serves as Director of Insurance and Pension Supervision at the Central Bank of Latvia and is a Member of EIOPA’s Board of Supervisors. Appointed in 2020, she leads the oversight of insurance, pension, and investment fund markets, promoting sound supervision and consumer protection. She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, having founded and managed insurance and brokerage companies in Latvia. In her doctoral research, she examined behavioural patterns of Latvian residents in building pension savings.
