Biography
Aurore Lalucq is a trained economist and founder of the Veblen Institute, a think tank dedicated to promoting economic ideas and public policies in support of the ecological transition.
She was elected a Member of the European Parliament for the first time in 2019.
Since then, she has been a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, where she focused on issues such as banking, finance and insurance regulation, but also monetary policy and taxation.
In 2021, she became coordinator of the S&D group for the Tax Matters Subcommittee.
She has been rapporteur for the directive establishing the minimum taxation of multinationals and for the Regulation on the transparency and integrity of environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating activities.
Re-elected in 2024, she was appointed Chair of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
