Biography
Åsa Larson has worked in insurance and financial regulation for over three decades. Since 2014, she has served as Executive Director for Insurance at Finansinspektionen, Sweden's financial supervisory authority.
Her involvement with the EIOPA since 2010 has been extensive, including roles on the Board of Supervisors and the Management Board, chairing the Policy Steering Committee, and contributing to the Risk & Financial Stability Committee.
Before joining Finansinspektionen, Åsa Larson held leadership positions in the private sector, most notably as Chief Actuary at Skandia, one of Sweden's largest insurance and banking groups. Additionally, she has chaired the Swedish Society of Actuaries and represented Sweden in the Insurance Committee of the Actuarial Association of Europe.
