Biography
Silvia Fernandez Hernando is a national expert seconded from Spain’s insurance supervisory authority (DGSFP) to the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services, and Capital Markets Union (FISMA).
Part of the Commission’s negotiating team for the review of the Solvency II Directive, she is currently working on the review of the Solvency II Delegated Regulation and coordinating sustainability-related work within the insurance and pension’s unit.
Silvia has an academic background in law and business administration and holds a master’s degree in insurance law.
