Report on sanctions under the Insurance Distribution Directive

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has published today its first annual report on administrative sanctions and other measures imposed under the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) by national competent authorities (NCAs). This first report provides an overview of the measures imposed following the implementation of IDD in 2018 until the end of 2019. Overall, in eight Member States, NCAs imposed a total of 1,923 administrative sanctions or other measures. EIOPA will continue to publish an annual report based on the measures imposed during the previous year.
