Biography

Eveline Piturca (Turturescu) is Senior Expert in Financial Stability and Team Leader of the Risk Assessment Team in the Financial Stability Department of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). 

She has been responsible for monitoring and assessment of climate risk for the insurance and IORPs sectors and is currently responsible for the EIOPA 2025 IORPs Stress Test exercise. Also, she has been working in the development and implementation of stress testing exercises of EIOPA since 2016. 

Before joining EIOPA, Eveline has been working for the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority where she has been working as well on financial stability topics related to insurance, capital market and pensions in Romania. Prior to this, Eveline has been a consultant in matters related to strategies and macroeconomics in the private sector.

She has achieved a master’s degree from King’s College London in Complex Systems Modelling, and bachelor’s degrees from University “Politehnica” of Bucharest, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of International Business and Economics.
