Is BV357 updated according to new ITS (EU) 2023/894?
Background of the question
When 23.03 is effectively empty, we would like to state option 3 in template 01.01 Contents regarding the template, but this provides a validation error because we use Method 1 exclusively.
EIOPA answer
BV357 was partially amended to reflect the update of the ITS, by lowering the severity to Warning. Currently validation states that S.23.03 needs to be reported should the group use method other than method 2 exclusively. Nevertheless, EIOPA considers to further update this rule and clarify in the error message also the threshold to be met for the referred table.
