Biography
Mikkel Nørlem Hermansen is Head of Division at the Centre for Macroeconomic Policy (MPC) in the Danish Ministry of Finance, a position he has held since 2021. MPC plays a key role in advising the Danish government on fiscal and structural policy through medium-term planning and structural economic assessment – particularly in areas such as pensions, retirement, taxation, and labor market incentives. Before joining the Ministry, he spent six years as an economist at the OECD, where he worked on economic policy analysis and policy advising, including among others the U.S. country desk. Mikkel Hermansen holds a PhD and a master’s degree in Economics from Aarhus University.
