ESAs online workshop with ICT third-party providers: CTPP designation and the preparatory phase for the oversight framework

The European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA – the ESAs) are advancing in the implementation of the pan-European oversight framework of critical ICT third-party service providers (CTPPs) with the objective to designate the CTPPs and to start the oversight engagement this year.

The ESAs are organising this workshop for ICT third-party providers operating at a European level who consider that they may meet the criteria to be designated as critical due to their importance to European financial entities.

The workshop will focus on:

• the ESAs oversight mandate,
• the ESAs organisational set-up,
• an overview of the oversight activities with a focus on CTPP designation, and
• the planned activities in 2025.

• Petra Hielkema, Chairperson of EIOPA and Chair of the Joint Committee of the three ESAs
• Marc Andries, Joint Director of DORA Oversight
• Experts from all three ESAs.

ICT third-party providers operating at a European level who believe they may meet the criteria for being designated as critical—due to their importance to European financial entities—are encouraged to share their relevant contact details. These contacts would be used by the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) during the designation process, should the providers be identified as critical.
