As a potential candidate for any type of position (temporary agents, contract agents and seconded national experts), you will find information to facilitate your application and guide you through the recruitment process.
You will also learn how your application will be treated and what communication you can expect from us.
Our aim is to ensure that the recruitment is based on the principles of competence, transparency and equal treatment.
- Searching for vacancies
All job opportunities open to external applicants are published on our career portal, where you will find detailed information about roles, responsibilities, and required qualifications. All vacancy notices are open for a period of at least three weeks. They are also published on relevant websites, including on EPSO.
You can sign up for email alerts to stay informed about new job openings that match your profile.
- Apply to an open vacancy
If you are interested in one of our openings, please apply through our career portal by completing your application, including your CV and motivation.
Your CV should clearly indicate responsibilities and experience gained in previous positions, listing exact dates of your work experience and academic qualifications. Your motivation should explain why you are interested in the post and what you would bring to EIOPA.
We do not accept applications sent by email or by postal delivery.
Only complete applications in English and meeting the eligibility requirements will be accepted. Applications submitted after the deadline specified in the vacancy notice will not be considered further.
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application.
- Screening
A Selection Committee will assess your application against the eligibility and essential criteria set out in the vacancy notice.
The screening stage may include a short phone interview.
After the shortlisting phase, you will also receive an email inviting you for the next step in the recruitment process, or an email informing you that your application will not be considered further.
- Assessment phase
In this phase, candidates will undergo a written test and an interview with the Selection Committee. These take place remotely in most cases, or on the premises for managerial positions.
Applicants for management roles will be invited to an Assessment Centre.
For certain positions, a second interview with EIOPA’s management might be considered.
- Selection and reserve list
Based on the application, written test, panel interview, and other selection tools, the Selection Committee will assess each candidate.
Suitable candidates will be placed on a reserve list.
Depending on the interest of the service, candidates will be offered a position.
All interviewed candidates will be informed by email about the outcome of their application.
- Employment offer
If you are the successful candidate, you will receive an offer detailing terms such as salary, benefits, and other relevant information.
The job offer will remain valid provided you prove the eligibility and essential criteria, as well as the required professional experience. You will be asked to submit the relevant documentation.
Candidates might be required to perform a medical examination before taking up duties at EIOPA. Once all recruitment steps are completed, we will be happy to welcome you among EIOPA’s staff members.
- Onboarding
From the first day, we organise induction sessions and presentations with the team.
