Q&A

Question ID: 990

Regulation Reference: (EU) No 2015/2450 - templates for the submission of information to the supervisory authorities

Article: 35

Template: S.16.01

Status: Final

Date of submission: 17 Feb 2017

Question

The requirement says "The sum of provisions in templates S.16.01 and S.19.01 for one non-life line of business, as defined in Annex I to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/35, represents the total claims reserves originating from this line of business".

Does it mean that "C0360/R0260", "C0960/R0460" and "C1560/R0660" (of triangles representing the total of one SII line of business) should be equal to Gross Best Estimate Claims Provision, Ceded Best Estimate Claims Provisions and Net Best Estimate Claims Provisions respectively as reported in S.17.01 for that line of business. And therefore, sum of "C0360/R0260" in S.19.01 and "C0070/R0020" in S.16.01 for that line of business should represent the total Gross Best Estimate Claims Provisions for that line of business.
