In relation to JC-2017-49, PRIIPs – Flow diagram for the risk and reward calculations in the PRIIPs KID, dated 19 December 2022, In the Introduction section of that document the following is mentioned: The ESAs will review this document periodically or based on questions or comments from external stakeholders and updates are expected over time. In particular, please note that this document does not reflect the amendments to the requirements for the Summary Risk Indicator and Performance scenarios in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/2268 that are applicable from 1 January 2023. The ESAs are currently working on an updated version of this document that will be published in due course. Now, to our knowledge this updated version has not been made available to date, and therefore we are wondering if you can provide us with an update on the status of this updated version of the flow diagram/ advise when we can expect this to be made available.

While your question is outside of the scope of the Q&A process because it does not relate to the consistent and effective application of the legal framework, we would like to clarify that at this stage, we are not able to provide specific information regarding the timing of an update to the Flow Diagram for the risk and reward calculations in the PRIIPs KID. However, please note that following the agreement by the EU co-legislators in December on changes to the PRIIPs Regulation, the ESAs expect to work during 2026 on a review of the PRIIPs Delegated Regulation. Therefore, an update of the Flow Diagram might be deferred until after that review.
