Question

I am writing to bring to your attention a notable discrepancy we have identified between the Insurance Technical Specifications (ITS) and the Data Point Model (DPM) dictionary, specifically in the Taxonomy 2.8.0 hotfix. The issue pertains to a mismatch in the data for column C0030, as outlined in Table S.14.01.01.01. In the ITS, "36 – Life reinsurance" is listed as a valid option. However, this option appears to be absent in the DPM dictionary under the reference hierarchy code (68 in LB), which corresponds to the "Metric: Line of Business for direct business portfolio." This inconsistency raises a question about the correct data to be used in this context. Therefore, I kindly request your guidance on this matter: Which is the accurate reference for this specific case – the ITS or the DPM Dictionary?

Background of the question

As a customer vendor.

EIOPA answer

S.14.01.01.01 is dedicated to direct business only and as such options 35 and 36 are redundant. EIOPA is aware of the inconsistency between the model and the ITS and plan to address it during the next ITS revision.
