Question

In ITS 2023/894, for template S.14.03 Cyber underwriting risk, there is no item C0009 listed. The annotated templates contain "C0009 Line identification" on the sheet for S.14.03.xx, and the field is deemed mandatory and should contain an artificial key. Would you please advise on (a) whether the field C0009 is mandatory in S.14.03 since it is not part of the ITS 2023/894 and (b) if so, how to construct this key and (c) when the ITS might be changed to reflect this?

EIOPA answer

The C0009 column is an artificial key created during the annotation process and it is used to provide uniqueness to the rows for open table. Such tables are added to the model as apart of technical implementation and may not be defined in the ITS. Process of creating Annotated Templates is described in more detail in EIOPA DPM documentation section IV.3.2.2 (https://dev.eiopa.europa.eu/Taxonomy/Full/2.8.0/Common/EIOPA_DPM_Documentation_2.8.0.pdf). Information on the applicability of artificial keys is also described in rule S.23 of the EIOPA XBRL Filling Rules. In general, artificial keys should be provided as unique codes with no leading tailing or double whitespaces.
