Q&A

Question ID: 2706

Regulation Reference: (EU) 2023/894 - ITS with regard to the templates for the submission of information necessary for supervision

Topic: Reporting Templates

Template: S.14.03

Status: Final

Date of submission: 19 Jun 2023

Question

Regards the new Cyber risk template (S.14.03) in 2.8 taxonomy, and the associate LOG guidance (in the draft business package supporting SII taxonomy 2.8.0). Would the following be an acceptable implementation for checking of C0120 (e.g. in Plausibility tests): if c0110>0 then C0120<>0 On the basis that if any claim has been settled with payment during the reporting period then there must always be a non-zero amount in C0120.

EIOPA answer

It is correct to assume that any non-zero number of claims paid for given period would indicate that number of claims settled with payment is non-zero. In fact, this relation should work both ways, as it is rather unlikely for claim not to cause any payment. Therefore, we would consider following, with possible implementation in the future taxonomy releases:
({C0110}<>empty and {C0120}<>empty) or ({C0110}=empty and {C0120}=empty)
