Question

Is a host competent authority based on the treaty of the European Union allowed to charge a fee for the purpose of conduct of business supervision on insurance distributors wishing to carry out cross border business activities based on FOE/FOS in the host member state?

Background of the question

Some directives provide for a standardized notification procedure as a precondition for doing business in another MS (IDD, MCD). The directives are silent on the question of fees in these cases.

This question has been rejected because the issue it raises is out of scope of the Q&A process and does not relate to the legislative acts referred to in Article 1(2) of the EIOPA Regulation and their associated delegated and implementing acts, guidelines and recommendations.
