Custodian (C0120): Is it allowed to report the capital management company in the custodian field (C0120)? We ask ourselves if it is at all possible for a capital management company to act as a custodian for an insurer or if in C0120 only the depository bank can be reported? The log files specify that the name of the financial institution shall be reported as custodian.

The item C0120 is only to be reported if the asset is held in custody. In that case the name of the financial institution that is the custodian needs to be reported.
If the asset is held in custody, and the capital management company is itself the custodian of the asset, the field C0120 needs to be reported with the name of this company.
