Question

Taxonomy 2.4.0 states that fields C0150 "Premium paid to date" and C0160 "Premium received to date” in S.08.01 as well as fields C0140  "Premium paid to date" and C0150  "Premium received to date" in S.08.02 need to be positive.

There are instances in which swaps do not incur any upfront fees and as a result, the premium fields cannot be positive but zero.

Do you agree with the interpretation that these 4 fields can be either zero or positive?

EIOPA answer

EIOPA confirms that there can be instances in which the values are not positive. Therefore, this rule has been put as non-blocking. This should be considered as a warning, not as a hard rule that must be fulfilled at all times.
