Question

According to Comission Delegated Regulation C(2018) 3302, a re-categorisation of securitisations for spread risk should be applied. The securitisations are now split into six categories
1. Senior STS securitisation (article 178(3))
2. Non-senior STS securitisation (article 178(4))
3. Resecuritisation (article 178(7))
4. Other securitisation (article 178(8))
5. Transitional type 1 securitisation (article 178a(3)(4))
6. Guaranteed STS securitisation (article 180(10))
Whereas S.26.01 in XBRL taxonomy 2.3.0 still has the 3 categories type 1, type 2 and resecuritisation.
(i) Will there come an update to the XBRL Taxonomy regarding this new categorisation?
(ii) How should the six new categories be reported in S.26.01 until this new taxonomy entries into force?

EIOPA answer

The STS on securitization (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/1221) will be effective on 01/01/2019 and it will be applicable to the 2019 annual reporting reported in 2020. The EIOPA intention is to address it in the next year DPM/XBRL amendment.
