Description
How to transform reporting into a learning opportunity?
Save the date: 15 & 16 December 2021
EIOPA is organizing a workshop that seeks to provide participants with the opportunity to share experiences on handling cyber incident data. This workshop aims to promote dialogue across insurance industry stakeholders in the EU with regard to two main macro topics:
Cyber Incident Reporting: How is the (re)insurance market handling incident data?
Cyber Underwriting: How to ensure the collection of actionable incident data to facilitate cyber underwriting practices?
This initiative is part of EIOPA’s Cyber Underwriting Strategy implementation and seeks to better understand the challenges of cyber incident reporting from a risk management perspective as well as the industry’s perspective on the minimum standards required regarding content, availability and quality of incident data for a potential future use on cyber underwriting.
The engagement with industry stakeholders supports current regulatory work within the EU, such as the European Commission’s proposal for a Digital Operational Resilience Act, which comprises the development of technical standards on cyber incident management for market participants as well as the establishment of a single EU Hub for cyber incident reporting to build a strong and resilient cyber insurance market.
This is an online event that will take place over two afternoons, 15 and 16 December, from 15:00 to 17:00 CET.
Participants are encouraged to share their expectations concerning cyber incident information sharing schemes at the e-mail address EIOPA_CyberWorkshop_2021eiopa [dot] europa [dot] eu (EIOPA_CyberWorkshop_2021[at]eiopa[dot]europa[dot]eu). Questions to speakers can be submitted in advance to foster active dialogue during the workshop.
